That you were a withering rose,
I would care for you, nourish you, and love you.
But let me speak plainly,
That in your days of physical beauty I will savor you physically,
And as we age together, I will care for you,
I treasure your soul above all else.
There is nothing you could do, to turn me away,
Nothing you could wrongly say, that you could not fix with a kiss.
Distance strengthens our will.
-And it's our deep-seeded love and passion for humanity,
That keeps us whole.
No matter where we are-
Whether we be in Peru, or Chicago,
Rich or poor,
Alive or dead,
I want you to always remember-
That you have healed my soul.
You have brought faith back into my life,
And I can never thank you enough.
